Meet the Staff – Stephen Reilly

May 24, 2011

Stephen Reilly

Where are you from? Originally I am from Willingboro, New Jersey.  My family moved to Olympia Washington in 1981.

What were you doing before you came to ECOSS? I have worked for Non-profits since moving to Seattle in 1997 as a Community Organizer, Youth Program Developer, Project Manager and Grant Writer.

What do you do day-to-day at work?  As the Fund Development Manager it is my responsibility to raise money for ECOSS through charitable donations, membership fees, grants and contracts.

What has been your favorite/most rewarding project at ECOSS? My Favorite project to date has been working with our East African outreach staff on developing a program that will train and educate childcare providers in the Amheric and Somali communities about toxic hazards.

If you could change one thing about Seattle, what would it be?  Never having won a World Series title.

Favorite spot in South Park:  Delta Marine during a launch party.

What do I like to do outside of the office?  I like to spend time with my family, grow food and fish.

Biggest goal for 2011:  Finish remodeling my basement, and raise a lot of funds to support the great work that ECOSS does in the community.
